Re: Concern for daughterFrom: smed (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 16 Nov 2000 10:19:12 -0600 (CST)
Sounds like your daughter is having a heck of a time, I am sorry to hear that. I wonder why she was not able to take Glucophage and how much she was taking. The dosage may have either been too high or too low. Was she combining it with a low carb diet? If yes she may have been eating too few carbs when taking the medication. If she was not low carbing that will also make you very sick when taking the medication. It is a balancing act for sure. I did not see any improvement when starting met until about 2 months into taking 1500mg a day. I always eat some type of carb with it, like a bannana or milk, and I also take vitamin supplements and chromium picolonate tablets. If you have any other questions feel free to email me in person. Take Care TTFN
