Re: A new kind of heartburn? HELP!From: paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 7 Nov 2000 10:02:29 -0600 (CST)
Kristy, hey...i dont have this, but i know you are not the only one out there. my dad has done this in the past. they finally put him on prilosec (i dont know if i am spelling that correctly or not). anyway that combined with the reduction of acidy foods he eats is helping him much. out of curiosity are you low carbing? if so how low? carbs will help soak up stomach acids, while some proteins will help produce it. (all foods produce it, but carbs have the ability to absorb what they produce better). you should make your doctor pay attention to this. this can damage your esophagus and lungs if you are inhaling it. maybe you should have an upper GI ran...let us know what happens! i hope i helped some love, paula
