Hi, I am 24 years old and have been TTC-ing for 3 years.

Heres my story, and its a long one, so if you need a potty break nows the time.=-)

ok, here goes:

I was 11 when I started menstruating. I was 15 when I suddenly stopped. Knowing pregnancy was not possible, I went to the doctor and was promptly given Provera to start me and was placed on BCPs.(Lo/Ovral 28's) Lo/Ovrals were my best friend, as I lost weight on them, they made me have my periods, and I could tell you up to the minute when I was going to start. They were usually 3 days long, and easy and breezy. Then in July 97, almost 1 year after I got married, we decided to start trying for a baby. So I went off the pill and for a year, til Sept 98, I had my own period every month like clockwork, only they were a little longer and a little heavier, but nothing bad. Then in Sept 98, I had a "chemical pregnancy" which I wouldve never have known about but I had some blood work done.

>From Sept 98, til May 99, I had no period. I finally did have a period
in May 99, brought on by BCP's because I decided to stop TTC-ing a while. But unfortunately those made me crazier than a rat, so I went of them. Serious hormone/mood swings.(Ortho Novums). So I went back off them and lo and behold still no period.

I didnt have another period til July 2000, when I was placed back on Provera, and I had a light period on it. Then I was also placed on Clomid 50mg, CD 5-9, and I got a good temp rise, but no pg occured. Then No AF occured either. So back to the doc who upped the dosage to 100mg, and more provera, and even after I took the provera that time I STILL didnt get a period. So I was advised to go ahead and take the clomid anyways (once pg was ruled out) and so I did, and got a HUGE temp rise, so we babydanced like rabbits, but to no avail....and then still NO AF! (Im sensing a pattern here.)

Now Im 10 days post Provera (yes once again Im a glutton for punishment apparently) and no AF has come. I passed two itsy bitsy teeny weeny blood clots, (sorry I know thats gross) and thats it. Nothing, nada, zilch, zip. So now I dont have ANY clue what to do ....Im lost. I dont want to take another month of clomid, not that it makes me feel bad, on the contrary I feel BETTER on the clomid than off. (Im weird I know.) I have a few hotflashes and thats it.

So I got to digging again, and I found the symptoms of PCOS here, (which I have been eval'd for it before, all tests except a fasting glucose test) and I have many of the symptoms. I am not extremely hairy, just light blonde downy hair all over my face (especially where my "sideburns" would be), I have dark patches of skin on the back of my neck, under my arms, and between my legs. I have skin tags under my arms. I have a little problem with acne, especially around my mouth and jawline, and Im slightly overweight. I know this doesnt confirm whether or not I am PCOS, as my ovaries are not polycystic, according to 2 u/s and 1 transvaginal u/s.

So I guess I am asking, what should I be looking for? I go back to the doc on November 21, (I go to an OB/GYN who specializes in Infertility) and what sorts of questions should I ask her? Im totally lost, and I want a baby, but I also want to either find out if I have PCOS or not, as it can cause other medical problems (diabetes, heart disease etc which ALL run in my family) and yes I want to get pregnant very badly as well.

So if Anyone can give me any insight, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you all so much. This seems like a really supportive and great website.
