Most of us are diagnosed IR, welcome to the club from hell. Anyway, I think almost every one of us is trying to follow a low carb life change. I would recommend going to your local library and checking into the several low carb books out there, and then figuring out which is the best for you. Also, if you have any family members that are diabetic and have received menu instructions this is helpful. Stay away from:

Soda, Chocolate, Bread, Pasta, Candy, caffeine, bakery goods in general, cereal, potatos, these are just some of the main ones I try to avoid. Good luck, it is not an easy road. I am sure we will be hearing a war cry of frustration from you in the near future, but remember never give up!
