Pain with PCOS?From: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 31 Oct 2000 12:26:30 -0600 (CST)
I was diagnosed with PCOS about 3 years ago. About a year ago my endochrinolgist prescribed Glucophage for me, and it has been helpful in reducing the rather annoying symptoms of PCOS. I've noticed, however, that my periods have been decidedly heavier on Glucophage. The one thing that really concerns me is the fact that I've been having some rather sharp pain in my lower right groin area, I think, in the vicinity of my right ovary. Is this something that other people have had experience with? I'm kind of at a loss. My OB/GYN says that pain is sometimes a symptom, but this time it woke me out of a sound sleep. Thanks!
