i know this is scarey! lets slow down and take a deep breath...ok, the met may make you ovulate by lowering your higher hormone levels...yea you can probably carry a child safely...but you should be sure to have your progesterone levels monitered when you get pregnant. i do not know if the pain is from the medication, at least i have not experienced it that bad when i could connect it to any drug. if it gets so bad you cannot function, demand something be done, or go to the ER...it may be cysts bursting, but i would want it checked out. as far as pap smears go, they are a little uncomfortable, but they do not cause pain...at least mine never have and i have 2 a year. inform the doctor that this is your first one, and ask that he tell you what he is doing as he does it. if he explains how things will go before the procedure, that can be reassuring. i hope this has helped you...you have come to the right place..if you need help in anything, please let us know =) love, paula
