Congratulations on getting what you want from your Doctor! I recently had a fasting insulin level and it came back high enough (34) that I didn't have to have the GTT. However, I wanted to let you know that I was then sent to the lab for a DHEAS, Total Testosterone, and Lh/Fsh ratio (even thought the levels may be normal, the ratio between the 2 tells the real story. You might want to ask about these. They should be done on Day 3 of your cycle, that is the 3rd day after you begin your peiod, for the optimum results.
