Hello Everyone, I recently went to my new endo & she prescribed met/glucophage to treat my pcos & diabetes.I am to start w/ 500 mg & build up to 2000 mg in 4 weeks.My endo kept warning me that if I did not want to become pregnant that I should use a non-hormonal birth control method. My gyn told me though, that I would probaly need help in getting pregnant w/ fertility drugs.Are there any women who have been on metformin 2000mg & have gotten pregnant? If so did you continue on met while pregnant? The endo also said that if I were to get pregnant I would have to stop taking met immediately. Also how long after taking metformin did you begin to notice any improvements such as wt. loss,decrease in hair, return of periods,etc.? I would greatly appreciate any replys & thank you.
