Re: How many of us HONESTLY exercise?

Gee, reading everyone elses reply to this question makes me kinda embarrassed!

I struggle with exercise and have all my life. It wasn't until I realized that I have a social phobia, made worse by how I feel about my size that I could even begin to start some form of exercise. I was doing shallow water aerobics two times a week since it's nice and easy on my joints and no one can see what I'm doing under water! Between that, metformin and the Atkins diet, I've lost 40 lbs 5.5 months! I got out of the routine when my grandfather died in August and it's a real struggle to get back into exercise and dieting but I'm perservering and just thankful that I'm maintaining my weight loss (though I have lost a bit of weight) and not gaining it back. My motivation when I was going to exercise was the weight I was losing and circumstances haven't been conducive to getting back into it but I know I'll go back to exercise when I'm ready. I told my endocrinologist that I gained weight over 15 years and I'm not going to exercise and lose it in just a few months! It takes time to get into the new habits and if it was easy I wouldn't have stopped many years ago. All I can say is keep trying!

Thanks for listening :)
