Re: IQ of 145 ....dwindling to 45---I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!From: ALicia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 23 Oct 2000 19:20:35 -0500 (CDT)
I know what you are talking about. i am having those episodes lately and they are scaring the crap out of me. I fear early Alzheimers even and I am only 32. I feel like my brain is frying. I couldnt figure how to spell the word "been" the other day!!! Ive asked my therapist should I see a neurologist and she thinks its all the meds IM on. Im pretty serious and have tons of health issues. My doctor just thinks Im muttering from my depression. I saw a neurologist in 1998 because I felt I had lost so much IQ and he told me it was from untreated hypothyroidism and its effect--I went untreated and diagnosed for some time. But this is much worse. ITs like my brain shuts down.....I feel overstimulated easlily too and like I am thinking in slow motion. I know how low blood sugar makes me feel but this is something more insidious! I hope we get some advice!
