I want to go off the pill to see if it will help me lose weight. I just had an ultrasound to make sure I had no endometrial buildup and I passed! No buildup so I feel pretty safe to go off the pill. I have been on the damn things for over 6 years! I stayed on pill even without periods because I couldnt take the risk of pregnancy at ALL! then later found out they were good for PCOS! Ive heard they can make people fat though and I have high blood pressure. However my doctor is adamant that I do not go off the pill! I remember asking him...should I go off the pill to see if that shaves some of the weight...Ive been losing....but slow....and he said NO WAY! I have forced light periods on the pill very light but exsistant. Please tell me what you all think. He doesnt want to put me on progestorone or other hormones to force a period since I have suffered from depression and panic to the extent I have.
