Re: possible hyperthyroidismFrom: paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 8 Oct 2000 10:53:05 -0500 (CDT)
i am suprised that they think you have type II diabetes and wont see you until dec....that is not right...if you are diabetic, you need to find out NOW...it is not just an ankle sprain.... about 2 months ago, my RE didnt want to treat me anymore because he wasn't willing to wait until Janurary to start fertility treatments....soooo i went to my PCP...i told him how i felt, what i wanted, and so on...he did some blood tests, told me NOT to low-carb, showed me studies as to why, put me on a different diet, is keeping my meds up, on and on...i am MUCH happier with him...he felt qualified to treat this, i feel that he is qualified, if i need something, or have a question he is accessible. i like that... so while an endo is great, and they know alot about the hormones....sometimes a very informed PCP can actually be more helpful.... love, paula
