Xenical

I see the FNP at my physician's office. She was treated with a wedge resection for her PCOS and was able to conceive. However, she did not know about the connection of IR with PCOS and was not comfortable prescribing Met. I was impressed, though, that she said she would research it and consult the local diabetologist. The diabetologist is a woman and she has a fantastic reputation in these parts. I see my endo on Monday for my thyroid, I haven't seen her since I learned about my PCOS and Met, so I will be asking her for it as well. In the meantime, tipping the scale at 218 pounds, the FNP recommended Xenical and Meridia. So far the insurance company has refused to pay for these meds, but I am sending a letter from the doc's office to try to convince them. I went ahead and paid the $121 for the Xenical out of pocket and I will start it today. I know my triglycerides are elevated, but I just had that drawn yesterday so I don't have a level there yet. I am hanging in there--thanks to everyone here for sharing their stories and giving support.
