Generally speaking, in women with untreated PCOS, a cyst doesn't usually get to the point where it bursts. In PCOD the many follicles in your ovaries are tiny and unable to grow due to lack of the correct hormones. Having said that occasionally one does enlarge enough to cause pain and possibly bursting - I had a laparoscopy about 5 weeks ago for a cyst! I would definitely recommend going to visit your doctor though and determine if you do have PCOD so you can start treatment. Love Emma
