I have had chronic yeast infection for over 10 years. I have tried EVERYTHING, and nothing seemed to keep me from getting them. I started Met 3 months ago and I have not had a yeast infection since, before Met I had at least 1 infection a month. Met has been wonderful. My RE said that yeast infections were one of the symptoms of IR. Also, I could not take BCP because they caused me to have yeast infections. If your friend is on BCP, this could be causing a problem for her. My RE confirmed that BCP do cause some women to have chronic yeast infections.
