Sebaceous (sp?) glands produce the oil for our skin. When testosterone
gets too high due to PCOS some women develop acne because the sebaceous
glands are over producing oil. I believe the flakey stuff on your scalp
is related to sebaceous gland production. I kind of remeber reading
something about this, the glands over produce, get clogged and the skin
starts flaking....or something like that. You might try a commercially
available shampoo for seboreha. Let us know if it works.
good luck

>>Hi everyone.. I was hoping if anyone could tell me if a couple things I've been having really bad in the last 3 months could be related to the PCOS. The fist is dandruff, I've never had a problem with dandruff in my life, and now I have it where no medication is helping! and i can see on my hairline where the scalp is peeling., has anyone else experienced this that had reason to believe it had something to do with the PCOS?. The second one is grey hair. This one I'm really curious about, I just turned 23 a week ago and I'm finding grey hair all over head suddenly. It doesn't really bother me, it's fixable with hairdye.. but I am curious to know if they are related to PCOS. Any information would be most helpful. Thanks!
