Question about yeast infections

I was wondering if some of you could help me. I've noticed yeast
infections mentioned several times on this board over the last few
months. A friend of mine deals with CHRONIC yeast infections. I
believe that she has them just about every day of her life. She's
reading a book called "The Yeast Connection" now that talks about the
link between diet and yeast infections.
She also has some, though not all, PCOS symptoms. My question is, if
she's IR and gets prescribed metformin, is it likely that her yeast
infections will clear up also? Have any of you seen improvement or dealt
with something like this in the past?
