what you had was a blood sugar crash..your blood sugar spiked immediately after drinking the liquid then plummeted, causing your reaction. Normally the IGTT is extremely accurate, but since you have been on the zone diet, your results will be skewed. the low-carbing dropps insulin levels in the blood sometimes rendering the test void. you may have IR, but it may not show up due to the low-carb. However, given your reaction, i would say that your tests will show insulin resistance. if they come back as normal i would tell the doc that you had been low-carbing. he/she should have told you to carbo load for 3 days before hand in order for optimum test results....
