Means your dad had SYNDROME X, a component of PCOS. Syndrome X can cause PCOS in women. It is genetic. Do some web searches on Syndrome X - It is similar condition to PCOS and is explained fully in a book call SYNDROME X as well as the CAD books.

My dad has diabetes too, so did a LOT Of the women in his family. They were fat and mostly infertile. Facial Hair, thinning hair on head, no periods. Sound familiar? I was RAIL THIN until 3 years ago. I have had PCOS since I was 9 but never had the weight problem until after my twins were born. But I did have cysts, facial hair, deep voice, mood swings, no periods.
