Hi Pati, I live in OR also, the Portland area, if you are local to Portland, I know of some good doctors if you'd like to email me, If you think you might have PCOS, take some info to the doctor's appt, make a list of your symptoms, a detailed medical history and write down any and all questions you may have. When you are nervous it is hard to remember everything. It has been my experience that when you go prepared you have a much better chance of having a 'successful' appt. - Also, if you have a 'goal' for this appt. ie: medication, treatment plan, tests you'd like to have run, SPEAK UP. It is so frustrating to wait for the doctor to suggest something you want-sometimes they won't 'cover all the bases' so to speak, and you are left wondering if you should of had this or that test. Also, if the doctor you see isn't aware of the latest info on PCOS, they may not take it as seriously as they should, so you may have to be assertive about the information that you have found, and hopefully the doctor will be open to hearing it. I'm sort of rambling here, I hope this makes sense, and I hope it helps! Good Luck to you! At Thu, 28 Sep 2000, Lisa23 wrote: >
