Thanks for your comments! I have changed my way of eating entirely - not a diet, a way of eating. I make choices everytime I decide to eat something. I don't "count carbs" per se. I eat if/when I am hungry...and when that happens, I make sensible choices. If I limit myself to a certain amount of carbs daily, I will feel exactly that - limited. My typical day consists of a scrambled egg with 3 sausage links (covered in melted cheese - yummy) every morning...a mid morning snack of a cucumber...lunch is 2 weenies with mustard - just the weenies - no bun, and some sugar free jello...in the afternoon I usually have about 2 ounces of cheese, cheddar and pepper jack...and a salad with my protien dinner. I have also found that adding WALNUTS to a salad replaces croutons quite nicely. I do not proclaim to be a low carb guru...I just think it is my responsibility to do everything I can to take care of myself...you get but one vehicle to travel this world in...there are no trade-ins. :-)
