Well, many women with thyroid problems ALSO have adrenal problems. There is a connection. Go to http://www.delphi.com/ab-thyroid There is an entire folder just for women with both thyroid and adrenal problems. Not surprisingly, there are several regular posters that have PCOS as well. The adrenals are responsible for producing three kinds of hormones: the glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids and the androgens. The glucocorticoids (cortisol) are responsible for regulating blood sugar.
