Losing weight will generally help your PCO symptoms. ONe reason is because fat tissue produces excess oestrogen which effects your ovaries. Exercise is also good for the symptoms as it helps lower your insulin levels. When you first get symptomatic with PCO and possibly start to put on weight, it becomes a vicious cycle which can be really hard to break, especially as the recommended diet for the general population (high carb, low fat) may not be appropriate for people with PCO.
