And adoption is wonderful - I'm a 29 year old that was adopted at 5
days. But don't go into this with blinders on - the couple legally has
the righ to take that child back within, typically, six months. And
it's happened many times before. So just because you may know someone
who knows the couple, does't make it safer in that regard.
Then there are the other questions - an open adoption, or closed, and if
open, to what degree? To where the biological parents have visitation?
Or just letter writing and telephone calls? It's a lot to think about
(in addition to finding both birth parents, I've done extensive research
on the issue) - if you'd like to email me to discuss it, feel free.
