Carrin, I can't share the "motherly instinct" feeling that most women have (long story--don't ask) but I have known a number of couples who have adopted children.

These people were SOOO happy!! I remember the Sunday that my pastor's wife couldn't stop crying; they had just found out that they were getting a baby girl. I was only about 10 years old at the time, but I could feel the excitement that she felt.

I know (or have known) at least five couples who have adopted children. Some adopted newborns; others adopted foster children. At least two couples were pleasantly surprised with biological children after they had adopted!

So, my advice is this: Ask yourself which is more important -- that you share your love with A child, ANY child or that you share your genes (and love) with a child. To me, it would be much better to adopt a child than to go through a lot of medical things that may or may not work. Good luck, whichever route you choose!!
