Previous message: nancy: "Re: Help! Advice please" Well today was my 2nd endo. visit, I received the results from the tests he took last time. Get this, my insulin level that was 37 when tested at my PCP was only 8?! We need to re-test obviously so I've gone off the Met for now and will re-test mid-October. My other levels were ok except my testosterone, it was at 6o something... which my dr. considered to be high. I was prescribed Spironolactone which he is hoping will help with the weight gain, acne and hair loss. I go back mid-October (A week after my blood test so he'll have the results back)... hopefully things will become clearer then.
