>As far as my endo put it to me was that dexamethasone is a steroid and has far more side effects than glucophage. It is not something that you can be on for long periods of time because it is a steroid type of drug. One of the side effects is weight gain. She was very hesitant to use this when I brought it up to her and if I understood her right it is used more as a treatment when adreanal dysfunction is the cause for your symptons. If I were you I would get on the internet and ck out the drug and it's usage and side effects, then ck out glucophage. see what you get out of the info and bring up any concerns to your doctor. You know--- You do have a say in the type of health care you receive.It should be a team effort between you and your as todoctor what is the best treatment for you and what you are comfortable and confident with.. Other wise change doctors.
