Catching up with all of you - my latest news

Hi everyone I just wanted to let you all know how I am going, you have all been of such tremendous help and assistance over the last few months.

I have had all the news from my two specialists (gyn. and Endo.) I am severly insulin resistant (about double the expected rate) - my endo has me on Met, gradually building up the dosage. I have had no ill effects at all so far. He is wanting me on a low G.I. diet with hi fibre etc, and I will be seeing a dietitian about that. My news from the Gyn is that I have endometrial hyperplasia, which is what I expected, luckily though there is no atypia, so I have a chance to reverse it! He has me on high-dose progestins for three months, and then another biopsy to see how its all going.

So I am hugely relieved! For the first time in 17 years I feel like I am actually getting somewhere!

All of the support, links and advice from this site has helped so much, it has been a real godsend. Thanks to all of you!
