If anyone can help me I would be SO grateful. I was diagnosed with PCOS 4 years ago. We've been married for 11 years and have been trying to have a family for at least 9 years. I was on glucophage for a year and a half (last year) and finally got pregnant...after 5 weeks I was told I had "blighted ovum", the baby stopped developing and I had to have a D & C. Also during my time of pregnancy, my liver started to swell, which my dr. said was from the meds I was on, and my gallbaldder went crazy..it turned out my gallbladder was loaded with stones. I had to be rushed to the emergency room because I was in so much pain from all of this. After my D & C, I went back on the glucophage for three months...then my body would no longer tolerate it....My liver feels like it gets sore again and then I have to discontinue the meds. I can't figure out why I could take glucophage with no trouble before I was pregnant and after that I've had nothing but trouble. I feel terrible and have had several tests done, but the drs can't figure out what's wrong. I had my gallbaldder out in January of this year and that didn't help either. I get strange pain on both side of my upper abdomin(on each side) and I'm wondering if this has anything to do with my adreanal glands...If those are out of whack, could that be the cause of all my trouble? I have an appointment with an endocronologist on 9/28, but after looking at the bloodwork my family doc did, she doesn't feel this is PCO related!!! Ugh...I don't think my adrenal glands have been tested. I don't know what other questions or tests to ask for ....can anyone PLEASE help me....I've felt SO sick for SO long, that I'm open for any suggestions.....Thank you so much......... Sincerely, Wendy Y.
