Amy:
I had many of the same symptoms/problems that you had. I gained weight
around the waist and breasts, had problem with the pill, whiskers, the
whole deal. My cycle is regular, but "irregularly" painful and heavy.
YES, it is possible to have PCOS with a regular cycle. I am living
proof. Many docs refuse to consider PCOS because of the regular cycles,
but I finally found the right doc and got diagnosed (about 5 weeks ago).
I am getting treatment now and feel better.
PCOS is definitely a posibility. Make sure your doctor rules out
thyroid, insulin resistance/diabetes, etc. But be sure to ask him/her
to consider PCOS. Bring info with you to the appointment if necessary!
Good luck!
