>>I had electrolysys and it completly trashed my face.. I only needed treatments on my chin. You have to let it grow in between treatments. there's a negitive right there. Then, don't lie, it is painful. another negitive. Then the needle can transmit acne bacteria from one pore to another leaving you with a chin full of large cystic zits that leave scars. that's another big negitive. Then there is redness, irritation, and swelling. another negitive. Then there is the "pitting" that can occur if the currant is to high and the collogen layer is damaged. another negitive. Then there is the fact that it is time consuming. 1/2 hr sessions once a week for up to a year. another drawback. then there is the exspence- anywhere from 20.00 to 40.00 dollars for a half hour session. another negitive. Then you have to treat each hair individually and at the right stage of growth for it to be effective. If it's not treated durring the proper stage of growth, well then you just got electrocuted for
> nothing and you have to try to catch that hair on the next growing cycle. That stinks too. Lets see, oh yeah, Here's a big negitive, If you don't balance the hormones from the inside, then you will continually have new hair growth to be treated so you could be in electrolysis treatment for years spending your time and hard earned dollars. AND one more thing, alot of these beard hairs have to each be treated more than once to effectivly destroy the folicle. So as far as electrolysis goes---It was the worst thing I could have ever done to my face. And please don't think that I had a poor technoligist, Because I have too many girlfriends with the same expierences and we all went to different people. If you ask me ---Laser is the only way to go! I Had seven treatments with the laser over the course of 8 mo. I haven't Had one in over 6mo and I am totally hair free and my skin color and texture matches the rest of my face. You shave before a treatment. This is a big plus because you do
>n't have to be seen with stubble. I had it done right through my make-up and the girl doesn't even smeer my lipstick. There's another plus. The pain is nothing compared to electrolysis.Another plus. Then there is no redness, swelling irritation, or damage to the skin surface or collogen layer of your skin. There, another plus . Then It can destroy a much larger amount of folicles at one time then what you could have treated in a 1/2 hr of electroylsis. This is a bonus because you can clear the entire chin in a sort amount of time. How much time? five to ten minutes tops and that includes your hello and goodbye to the girl. So imangine-- you go in shaved with your make-up on zap zap zap 10 min.s and then you go about your day and nobody is the wiser. And each time you go you catch all the overlapig hair growth cycles so you don't have to go as often. Then another plus is that I have it done at the dermatolgist so it is under a doctors care. NO the insurance didn't cover it---ok --
>So how much did it cost-- 875.00 over an eight month time period to be completly hair free for 13months now. Now I know I was paying 20.00 a week for electrolysis. That's 80.00 a month and once a week and at the rate of time it takes to have electroylsis I would still have been in the chair every week for over a year. That would have added up to about 950.00 and 48 visits to the electrolysist. I was done with laser treatments in 8mo and had only seven visits. I mean really--- you do the math and tell me what your time, money and comfort level is worth to you? And as far as it being permanant---Too many people that I have spoken to agree that their expierence with electrolysis is a never ending process and none of them have ever found it to be a permanant solution to hair removal. and I am talking about woman who don't have pcos and a hormone imbalance to consider. So the laser isn't considered to be permanant big deal-- 875.00 and a total of 1hr. of my time in over a year, wit
>hout all the negitive stuff of electrolysis---A BARGIN if you ask me. And the next time I have to go, (and who knows when that will be because it's been about 6mo with no regrowth) I'll probably only need one or two treatments to keep me hair free for another year. And their commimg out with better lasers all the time so who knows what the future holds. Correct the internal and you'll have a better fighting chance no matter what method of hair removal you use, but In my opion ---I think the laser is the only way to go --it truly is the next generation of hair removal.
