PCOS Conference

Most people may not agree with me, and I probably should not be posting this, but I feel like I need to get this off my chest. It really bothers me that this PCOS Conference is such an expense. It seems to me that the conference is meant to "help" people with this terrible disease, and to offer a place for all of us to get together, talk to or listen to professionals, etc.. Will someone please explain to me then, why is it so damn expensive. I mean is it not enough that it is hard to go to work and get a full pay check from the fatigue, and many people are on SSI already, or that we have doctor bills, and medication bills piling up to our chins. On top of everything, the conference organized to help us is unreachable for so many. I organize many trade shows/conferences, as well as arrange travel for my boss to attend them, and I can tell you, one of the areas that is the MOST expensive to travel too is New York! Sorry, but it seems to me there was not a lot of thought put into that. I appreciate the work in even having a conference. But, maybe a little more accesiblity for everyone is in order. If not, then what is the point. I do hope this has not offended, but I do feel this is a strong point to be made.
