Hi there,

My doctor put me on Avandia because my insulin level was high. I think all Avandia does is bring your insulin level down. It won't treat any other symptoms but I think several other symptoms are brought on because of high insulin levels. I haven't had a chance to see my results yet. I have my blood checked in a couple weeks to see if it has lowered my insulin. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it has lowered it. My insulin was 71 the last time it was checked so my doctor said it will take 2 or 3 months of being on the medication to get me down to a normal level. She wants me down around 10 because I'm trying to get pregnant. Sorry I can't tell you if it works or not but on my prescription it says it is used for diabetics so I'm sure it works to bring insulin down. Good luck
