Hi Michelle, Are you on any meds? Remember before starting any diet check with your dr. first. Having said that, also be leery of the real low, low, carb diets. A diet with moderate carbs, meaning the *good* carbs, whole grains, fruits, veggies (avoid white breads, pasta, white rice, corn, carrots, as they have a higher glycemic index meaning they turn to sugar faster once ingested. They don't *stick with you* like slower burning carbs). I try to follow a modified ZONE program. I don't get hung up on food blocks, just look at what I'm eating and make sure it's balanced in terms of good carbs, protein, and fat with every meal and snack. I've read Sugar Busters, ZONE, ATkins, Carbo Addicts Program, and have learned something from all of them. You have to find one that works for you and your lifestyle. And don't forget, lots of water and 20-30 min. of exercise daily (walking is easy, just slip on your shoes and go! I like the Kathy Smith Walk Fit tapes to listen to while I walk. She reminds you to warm up, stretch, pick up the pace, and cool down.) Good luck- you can do it! :)Monica
