Re: 2 hour insulin at 175From: paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 25 Aug 2000 12:07:33 -0500 (CDT)
Rae...1st question...are you in the United States? ok now let me try to explain this to you...for a women who is 25 years of age, and is otherwise healthy (by U.S. meauring standards) an insulin level should be under 6. if you are in the united states....noone had an insulin level of 800,000....i know this because... humans are very adaptable, but we are also homeostatic creatures...this means, that we do not have ranges like this...people vary in their blood levels, normal temps, and things like this, but there cannot be a range of 6-800,000...it is difficult to explain, but if you understand biology, you know it is not right...i think maybe he was trying to scare you, or you are not on U.S. measuring standards. love, paula
