After reading a few posts concerning DHEA levels I was wondering if I should have further tests. I am concerned that I could have a problem with my adrenal gland and not PCOS. My doctor never tested my insulin levels before he diagnosed me. My symptoms are: hardly ever get a period, acne, scalp problems, my right ovary did have some cysts, right ovary 17.8 (I guess a little large), FSH/LH 3 to 1, and DHEA Sulfate on the high end of the spectrum (no number given to me). Is this PCOS or could it be adrenal? Do I have to have my insulin levels tested?
