I am adding my two cents worth in support of others urging you to report
this so-called doctor. I don't know if she's a specialist of any sort,
e.g., a family practitioner, but find out who her regulating association
is in your state, i.e., whoever licenses her -- up here in Toronto, it
would be the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Its job is
to protect the public and it will have a complaint mechanism you can
access. Do it right away. A doctor's first oath is to do no harm, and
she has broken it horribly. She needs to be appropriately disciplined
by the body charged with doing that.
This is not your fault. You went to her to do a job, and she not only
failed to do it but she did harm in the process. Get up on your hind
legs and scream, not only for your own good but for that of every other
person who ends up in her office. Good luck and keep us posted -- Alina
