Linda... I started with Atkins but found it quite difficult to follow with my lifestyle. I live alone and work alot...also travel alot for work, so found it hard to follow such a diet. Since, I have just watched my carb intake all together. I have totally cut out all pasta, breads & potatoes...it has been hard but I seem to be doing well. I have found that I rarely crave the sweets anymore and whenever I do I grab a few orange tic-tacs ( NO CARBS!!). I have also started walking and doing crunches every night. Don't get me wrong...I still "cheat" every so often but I'm sure to get back on track the very next day. I can tell you that after one serious binge...I fasted for a day and then got back to the low carbing. I try to keep my carb intake between 20-30 grams a day. L-Carnitine also helped me with getting into ketosis. At one point I was taking up to 16 pills a day. L-Carn, Chromium Pic, Inositol & Coenzyme Q10. I have not taken any recently and I'm still getting good results. Whereas I would once have a half a bagel & lite cream cheese for bfast, I am now having two eggs, cheese and bacon!!! Protein and fats are good....for some of us! I even enjoyed a few drinks tonight...as if you couldn't tell by the typos!!! Oh well..I've got to enjoy some of this!!! And, I still have a long way to go....what do they say about that?? I think it's "in good time!!"

Good luck to you!!!!!!! You can do it!!! :-) Alexis
