it IS probably a reaction to too high glucose...if you have a home tester ot have access to one, i would test my blood sugar about 20-30 minutes after eating..this is when carbos will spike. if you do not have a home tester, talk to your doc and see if you can have a blood sugar analysis run at about the 20-30 minute mark after eating this will tell you what your blood sugar is doing...

also if you babalce the carb intake with protein and fat, then you will not have such a sudden spike. usually the reason people feel so bad is neither the dips nor the spikes, but rather the tendency to bounce back and forth from one to the other...our bodies adjust to abnormally high or low blood sugars (within reason) and we wont get ill if we usually maintain say a 200 blood sugar, but when we are bouncing from hyperglycemis (high) and hypoglycemia (low) this is when we have the sick feeling...

unfortunately there is little short of medication that you can do to lower blood sugar quickly...you can jog in place things like that, but it will only marginally work...

i hope this has helped.

btw, if you are having this happen alot it might not be a bad idea to invest in a home blood sugar tester...and test your blood sugar several times a day for a few weeks or months...this will give you an accurate idea of what your blood sugar is doing...i was diagnosed as diabetic in jan of 1999...i probably tested my blood sugar 10 times a day until i got really used to how it feels to be high verses how it feels to be low...now i only check it about once a week or so, but i am off the meds and controlling it totally with diet...

love, paula
