Re: Ahoy!From: Randi2 (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 11 Aug 2000 12:54:05 -0500 (CDT)
Is that your full dose now - 1,500mg? I'm supposed to be working my way up to 2,000mg! I'm trying to tough it out. I can live with the overwhelming tiredness in the morning and the runs, but I'm having a hard time with the nausea. I'm experiencing just the opposite of you, the runs pretty much subsided after a day or two, but the nausea remains. Now that I upped the dose, it's only worse. I try to remember to take it with food. I guess I'll try to be even more diligent about that. When you say "different", I imagine you mean different in a good way in which I'd have to say it's too early to say one way or the other. I'm down 11 lbs since 7/18, but that's really of my own doing, not the meds. I've only been on the met 8 days and before that (and still now) I was working out and watching what I eat for about two weeks. I can say that two full days after having taken my first 500mg dose, I started to have bad menstrual cramps. Two days after that I started spotting...lightly but constantly. I think it's a period, though not like my normal periods -not that anyone would call my menstual cycles normal. Are you low carbing? I'm eating way less carbs than before, but I'm far from strict about the matter. I'm having trouble with that.
