Re: abnormal paps?From: Laurie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 11 Aug 2000 06:33:34 -0500 (CDT)
I had an abnormal PAP a little over 10 years ago (before PCOS diagnosis). Dysplasia. They wanted to do a colposcopy and I was in one of those times of a 3 week period after none for about 4 months. Doctor wasn't too thrilled about that. Colposcopy results weren't good I guess because they did a cone biopsy a week later (took out the middle portion of my cervix). All of my PAPs since then have been normal and I've had no further problems. I have a little scarring on my cervix, but nothing that really affects me. Hope this helps even though I'm not very good at explaining it!
