I am loosing weight by a combination of a glycemic index diet and exercise. However, I am not a fantaic:) I do bellydancing a couple of times a weak, witch I have found to be absolutly wonderful: as high or low impact as you want, great for suppelness, bodyposture, strenght, indurance and body awareness, and you can do it anywhere/time withouth special equipment - it just plainly feels good, and is the first type of exercise I have been able to say so about! Beeing "big" is deffinately not a hindrance. I also walk everywhere, instead of driving/taking elevators etc, too keep the body moving. Another good one, witch I can't do, is to swim.

Good luck! Anja
