whats going on with me?From: su (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 9 Aug 2000 15:44:03 -0500 (CDT)
HI.I have just gotten my test results back from waiting 2 weeks. My cycles have been irregular since 1997 when my son was born. From Feb to June this year I gained 40 pounds mostly around my middle. I am bloated all the time. I recently started on diuretics ( after my blood work) thinking it would help.( not yet) My face breaks out a lot now even though I use Proactive skin care twice a day.It hasnt been like this since I was a teen. I'm 34 now. I cant make it thru the day without 2 long naps despite going to bed early. Its a stuggle to get up in the am with the kids I still am tired. The chin hair is making me nuts. I have used skin creams to remove it which burn me, tweezing every day, and have even shaved it as a last minute resort. I am irriatable and would just prefer to be in a room alone. My primary care dr. put me on Vioxx for joint pain in my hands.I get pains in my lower back and around where my ovaries are and it feels like bubbles inside sometimes. I get sharp pains around my cervix area and was told thats "normal" My GYN tested my hormones and said the male ones are elevated. My fasting blood sugar, thyroid, DHEAS were tested. They drew 5 tubes of blood and all that was "wrong" was high potassium. They want more blood because they said it was TOO high and maybe the lab just messed up on it. I dont know to scream or cry I'm so upset. Not that I want this disease, I just want to get on with my life and thought it all added up to PCOS. Now I feel I am starting over and no one cares whats going on. Where do I go from here?
