almost absent menses even on birth control pills,anyone else??

The doctor has had me on birth control pills for over 2 years now for
pcos, during the last 6-8 months now each month has gotten lighter and
lighter??Used to be 5 days(a couple light and a couple heavy days)now
has gone to 1 day and doesnt even fill 1 tampon???when i questioned the
doctor he said you should be glad most women dont want one??i was
furious as i assume later w/out period i could not even consider getting
pregnant. when later taken off birth control pills was given
progesterone to start period and it also was only very very light for
1-1 1/2 days???any comments??
