How long can you stay on the BCP? Reply: SusieQ: "Re: How long can you stay on the BCP?" I've been on the pill for 10 years now and I went off for two months and did not have a period. Went for unltrasound and bloodwork. Had cysts but blood work was fine and I dont have PCOS. Doctor said to go back on pill. So I'm back on the pill but I want to go off...but I'm afraid if I do I might get PCOS. I dont have any symptons at all presently! So I guess the pill is helping me fight the symptons? How long can you stay on the pill safely!!! I'm so scared!
