Just found out that my 15 year old half-sister (same dad, different mom) was rushed to the hospital with abdominal pain. They've just about decided (she's having an ultrasound tomorrow) that she experienced a burst cyst on her ovary. Are they kidding?!?!? So, here's her history. Overweight, had juvenille diabetes (which is now gone, thank God!), her periods are very regular (every month, like clockwork) and she has never been (nor is she) sexually active. When I found out about my 'issues', I called her mom and asked her to keep an eye on my baby sister. So, tell me... are cysts normal and am I overly-worried?
