Hi everyone, I'm new to the board.(long,sorry)From: Tina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 31 Jul 2000 23:25:58 -0500 (CDT)
I've known that I have PCOS for the past 7 years now. My husband and I have been trying to have a child for the past 3 years. Clomid, invitro(once), to no avail. I happened upon the PCOS Support site which lead me to Dr. Perloe. He just so happens to be located in Georgia, where I live. I've since set up an appt. with him on the 8th. I've read things he has written and I've read the posts here. I realized I really was in the dark about what my options are. I also only thought about pcos in respect to infertility and hair growth. I didn't realize that some of the other things I've been going through are also related. I have mood swings and depression. This is something I didn't want to even tell my husband that I was suffering. I just thought I'd have to take better control of my feelings. I've gained 20 lbs in 3 years and am only 5'2. I have since talked to my husband and he is extremely supportive. I don't know anyone here but have felt such a connection after reading posts. I just wanted to let everyone know how grateful I am that you are all sharing these things. I really have learned more in the past week than in the past 7 years of knowing I have this. I never even heard of met before Dr. Perloe's site. Then I felt skeptical. Now I feel with everyones input I will see how it works for me. Thanks and so sorry for this being sooo long :)
