I have been on DEPO for almost 2 years. Only recently have I had strange periods. I had my period for 3 months and then it went away for a couple weeks then it came back and now it has been a month. I am chaning doctors (my old one sucks) and so I am going to talk to the new one about this. I am not sure if it is normal. But when I was on the pill I would still skip my period for up to 2 months and have horrible pain during my period.

The weight gain is due to the pregnancy trick it is doing to your body. It makes you think you are pregnate so you eat more. I notice the first two weeks after my shot I am hungry all the time and it is hard to ignore the hunger. You also retain more water.

I have been on a low carb diet and I have felt better on this diet with DEPO but the periods have just gone haywire.
