Re: Strange question, but I gotta know...From: Avalos (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 31 Jul 2000 08:57:44 -0500
Hi Jennifer... The asymmetrical breast issue is not related to PCOS, although the two may occur in the same person (case in point, you and I have it). I had one breast that was slightly larger than the other (started showing when I was about 15) and when I was 17 I had surgery to correct it by reducing the larger breast. My own lop-sidedness was not severe enough to bother me, actually it was my mother who was more bothered by it, and it was she who pushed the surgery. Nearly sixteen years later, I have to admit, I am glad that she made me do it. Alright, I am calm and happy after seeing Thomas and the Magic Railway with my kids. So, now I have to ask a crazy question that has bee bothering me for a long time. First, a small explanation. I have a breast that is 2 times smaller than the other. I always knew it was smaller, but never realized it was that smaller until I had to buy new bras and couldn't find any to fit right. Obviously, I don't by bras to often. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have that big of a difference in yours, is it PCOS related? If not, I guess I will have to wonder about my lop-sidedness forever. ---Jennifer
