Re: Any helpful ideas to have health insurance cover costs? From: paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 30 Jul 2000 19:18:30 -0500 (CDT)
how odd! well, i would call the company...send them documentation from your doctor that you are using it to regulate ovulation... also, you know that often women with pcos respond terribly to bcp...maybe if they end up not paying for the birth control...you could use provera? also, maybe check with the planted parenthood organization (yes i do see the irony) but maybe they can help get you a low cost type...i wouldn't tell them why you are needing it...just that you do, and your insurance wont pay for it... i always fight my insurance company. i find it ridiculious that you pay for this insurance...and they wont take care of your needs...so i fight them...i usually win, though not always. i will warn you...this does nothing for future relations with them...and you must choose your battles, if you are planning on fighting for fertility treatment, dont fight this one...find another way... sorry i didn't help more love, paula
